Dr. Nisarg Gandhi has joined the Rheumatic Disease Center Physicians soon after completing rheumatology fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. He did his internal medicine residency at Weiss Memorial hospital, Chicago. Prior to that he finished his medical school education in one of the most prestigious medical schools in India, B. J. Medical college, Ahmedabad. He was awarded and honored by the present Prime minister of India (former Chief minister of the state of Gujarat) for being the first ranker and having the outstanding performance in the statewide board examination preceding the medical school admission. During fellowship, he was involved in multiple small and large scale research studies and presented his work at multiple national and international professional meetings. During his fellowship training he gained expertise in taking care of patients with lupus and osteoporosis. He has special interest in taking care of patients with rheumatoid arthritis and gout. He received specialized training in performing joint procedures under ultrasound guidance.
Dr. Gandhi is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
